The incident occurred in Columbia County on Wednesday, Oct. 9, in Taghkanic.

According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the State Police, following a law enforcement tip, investigators determined both John R. Vogt, age 74, and Mark T. Vogt, age 45, both of Taghkanic, were in possession of child pornography.

Both men were arrested for three counts of possessing obscene sexual performance by a child under 16 years of age.

The Vogts were each issued an appearance ticket to return to the town of Taghkanic Court on Thursday, Nov. 7.
